Your Smile. Our Passion.

Dr. Brandon Cook and his team at Cook Orthodontics of Dublin put a focus on helping Dublin, OH and the greater Columbus, OH area residents improve their smiles and transform their lives.

A Practice That Cares About Its Patients

The mission of Cook Orthodontics of Dublin is to create personal relationships with our patients so together we can create a smile that inspires confidence for them to be their best selves. We all have insecurities but we don’t want your smile to be one of them. Having a smile that you can be proud of is our top priority.

Our goal is to make every patient feel special, valued and understood while providing the highest level of customer service and result. We work to achieve that goal by listening to our patients’ needs, earning trust through performance and using the knowledge from our many years of combined experience to create and execute a plan to achieve a life-changing smile.

How can a smile change your life? Well-aligned teeth and the correct bite improves our health through an improved ability to eat, chew and talk. Better tooth position reduces pain and discomfort in the mouth and can eliminate or slow down deterioration and wear of teeth. When your teeth look nice and feel good, it improves a persons’ overall well-being, self-esteem and confidence. We witness these transformations every day in the office which is why Dr. Cook and his staff find their jobs so rewarding.

A Top-Notch Patient Experience

At Cook Orthodontics of Dublin, we first get to know the person’s motivation for seeking out an orthodontist. Sometimes they are motivated because their dentist recommended an orthodontic consultation or there is something about their smile that has always bothered them but they didn’t have an opportunity to be treated as a child. Teeth shift as we age so sometimes it’s because adults are noticing changes with their teeth and are concerned that those changes will get worse over time.

Many parents refer their own children because they recognize familial dental traits that they didn’t have the opportunity to have corrected when they were young. Although dentists often give direct referrals to patients for orthodontic consultations, a dentist referral is not required to schedule an initial visit. We receive requests for appointments from all different sources such as friends, family, online resources as well as other dental offices.

Once we understand why you requested an initial consultation, then we have a chance to educate and inform you of all of the possible treatment options and how to make it affordable. Our appointments are interactive so we want to hear from our patients every step of the way so we can ensure that your expectations are met with the result we have promised.

Orthodontic Services to Fit Each Patient’s Needs and Smile Vision

At Cook Orthodontics of Dublin, we know from experience that one size does not fit all, which is why there isn’t a “standard” price or treatment plan menu. We customize treatment procedures and fees to the needs of each and every patient. For this reason, we reserve a full hour for our complimentary initial consultation because we create a plan that day that is unique to you.

The timing of treatment is also really important. For children, there are certain appliances and procedures that can only be done while a patient is growing, and often during a very specific moment in time of growth or length of skeletal growth remaining. For example, patients with an underbite, where the lower jaw is ahead of the upper jaw, are seen as young as age 4 or 5 while they have all of their baby teeth because it’s a skeletal discrepancy that can be best corrected early when many years of growth are still ahead. Children that are congenitally missing a tooth that will need a future implant replacement, can have braces done while they are growing because teeth move easier and more predictably but cannot have the implant done until they are completely done growing. The space for the replacement tooth is held with retainers. Palate expanders are best done before the top jaw fuses so there is a specific window of opportunity for this type of appliance.

For adults, timing is important depending on milestones in your life such as planning a wedding or the timing of other dental work that has to be done. For example, if a patient needs an implant, implants function similar to natural teeth with an exception, they don’t move like natural teeth so your dentist may recommend orthodontic treatment prior to an implant procedure to get all of the natural teeth in ideal position prior to implant replacement.
