Dr. Cook uses the highest standard of orthodontic materials including the Damon™ System. What makes treatment with Damon™ braces so special? The design of the bracket along with the copper nickel-titanium wires thermal activation allows Dr. Cook to create broad, beautiful smiles with lighter forces than conventional braces resulting in a more natural smile.
Since the copper niti wires stay active longer than conventional wires, wire adjustment appointments are usually scheduled every 8 weeks resulting in fewer office visits. The brackets are smaller, which makes them easier to clean, and work more efficiently than conventional braces resulting in shorter total treatment times.
The amount of arch width that is possible to achieve with the Damon™ System often means a non-extraction treatment plan. In the past, permanent tooth extraction was a common way to create space to align crooked teeth. Most cases can be finished without extracting permanent teeth so the final result is a broad, beautiful, natural looking smile. Damon™ braces come in metal or clear ceramic options.
