COVID-19 Update

We’re glad to have our patients back to our office, yet we want to make sure we can do so safely. We understand that you’re probably concerned about safety, especially while not wearing a mask during your orthodontic procedures with Dr. Cook and our clinical staff. We’re concerned about the safety of our patients and team as well, and we’re doing everything we can through our COVID-19 protocol and safety measures.

Here are answers to questions you may have about our safety practices and ways you can help us so we all stay safe:

Appointment Procedures

Covid-19 UpdateBefore you come for your visit, please brush your teeth. If the appointment is for your child, please ensure that your child brushes their teeth in advance. To help us run on time for appointments, please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow ample time to complete Covid-19 protocols and update any necessary paperwork.

When you enter for your appointment, Use the self-check-in computer or check in at the front desk. You will be asked to wash your hands and use a pre-procedure rinse at the start of your appointment. Masks are required to be worn by everyone in our office.

We allow ONE person to escort a child up to our office for their appointment and that person will be permitted to wait in our waiting room or return to their vehicle.  If you return to your vehicle and would like someone to escort your child back to you after the appointment, just let our friendly staff members know before you head back down.

If your child is scheduled for their very first detailed examination or a progress examination, they will be seen in a private room with Dr. Cook and one of our Treatment Coordinators. Up to TWO parents are welcome to be present at that appointment.  There will be a few occasions when a parent will be asked to join their child in the clinic to obtain detailed instructions on new appliances such as learning how to turn an expander.

Cleaning, Sanitization and Other Office Precautions

We are also taking steps to make the office and everything in it safe. We’re following social distancing practices, and ask you to help us do the same. We adhere to sterilization and government guidelines related to minimizing the spread of COVID-19 and its variants and make protocol updates as new information becomes available.

In addition, we have added screen guards at the front desk, as well as, in between each clinic chair and we are consistently sterilizing our treatment areas and high-traffic areas. As always, we are sterilizing our orthodontic tools and equipment.

Thank you for helping us keep our office safe for all of our patients and team members. We greatly appreciate your understanding. Following these precautions will help you and every other patient continue with the orthodontic treatment needed to transform everyone’s smiles and lives!

"We had our first orthodontist appointment the other day not knowing what to expect and it was a great experience! My daughter was nervous going in but left happy and we start treatment next week!"

Ready for Special Cases

Dr. Cook and his staff’s combined years of education, training and experience in orthodontics have prepared them to excel in cases within a wide range in level of difficulty. Prospective patients seek out our knowledge and experience when they have been told from other offices that their case is too difficult to be treated at that office. Whether it is early intervention in children with severe overbites, underbites or crowding to adults with surgical or comprehensive restorative needs, we feel confident that we can find a solution together.
